Together, these affect between 11% and 29% of women every year. They're often recurring, frequently undertreated, and rarely given the follow-up they deserve. That's exactly why we're starting here.

I quit my job for vaginal yeast infections…

Hi, I’m Frederike, founder of femote – and probably the woman with the most publicly discussed intimate infections in Germany. Jokes aside, I dealt with recurrent infections for years. That mix of frustration as a patient, the long journey of figuring things out, and my background in digital and data strategy eventually turned into femote.

So yes, in a way, I quit my job because of yeast infections.

Since then, my mission has grown far beyond “faster treatment for infections”. I want to help build 21st-century gynaecological care – digital, accessible from anywhere, personal, and genuinely empowering. A system where both patients and clinicians actively shape the experience.
