You take a moment to type out what’s going on, right in the app. From home, not rushed through a phone call. Your gynaecology practice reviews it and matches you with the right appointment. No more guessing which appointment to book, no more “come in and we’ll take a look”. Whatever you need: a check-up, something urgent, a repeat prescription, or a question about your results.
STEP 2 - DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
Your doctor already knows why you’re there - before you sit down.

I quit my job over a yeast infection…
Hi, I’m Frederike, founder of femote and probably the woman with the most publicly discussed intimate infections in Germany. Jokes aside, I dealt with recurrent infections for years. That mix of frustration as a patient, the long journey of figuring things out, and my background in digital and data strategy eventually turned into femote.
So yes, in a way, I quit my job because of yeast infections.
Since then, my mission has grown far beyond “faster treatment for infections”. I want to help build 21st-century gynaecological care – digital, accessible from anywhere, personal, and genuinely empowering. A system where both patients and clinicians actively shape the experience.

femote is an app where you and your gynaecological practice communicate. You describe your needs beforehand, right in the app; your practice reviews them and matches you with the right appointment. Afterwards, everything from your visit is saved for you in the app. femote keeps that flow running. The medical judgement is always your practice team’s alone.

femote doesn’t diagnose, doesn’t recommend treatments, and doesn’t judge how urgent your concern is. It’s no substitute for medical advice or an examination. What happens next is always your practice team’s decision. In a medical emergency, please contact the emergency services directly.

Yes. femote is not a standalone service. It’s your practice app, and you can use it as soon as your gynaecological practice works with femote. That’s why our waiting list asks for your postcode: it tells us where demand is high and which practices to reach out to.

We will be in touch the moment a practice in your area goes live. And we are working to make sure good gynaecological care has more than one way in. Whichever comes first, you’ll hear from us right away

No. While some things can be sorted without an in-person appointment, plenty can't. What can be done digitally is your practice team's decision. And femote's role is to help more and more get handled digitally over time.

How many appointments are available is up to your practice, not femote. But here's what changes: your practice knows your needs beforehand and can give you the appointment that actually fits, and you’ll make fewer trips for something that could just as easily be sorted another way.

For the waiting list, we store your name, email address and postcode. We use them only to get in touch as soon as there’s news for your area, and we never share them with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@femote.eu. All the details are in our privacy policy.

The standard version of femote is free for you. We're working on optional extras you can add on if you need them. The cost of the treatment itself is billed by your practice as usual — either through your health insurance or, for additional services, directly with you.

Some practices offer services that aren't covered by statutory health insurance and that you pay for yourself. Your practice shares them and what they cost, right in femote. You see them as you arrange your appointment and can decide, in your own time, whether to add them on. femote never recommends specific additional services to you.

Yes, please. Nothing convinces a practice more than patients who speak up about what they’d like.
